If you like the Peasant come and see us at our sister pub: ‘The Londesborough’ in Stoke Newington. The Londesborough is a fabulous building in the heart of Stoke Newington with  two open fireplaces to keep warm this winter and a great garden and outside kitchen for summer. We are looking forward to creating some great BBQ menus!

The inside has been decorated with the owners’ own beer can collection which we amassed as children and have stored for some thirty years. There have been casualties but some of the best cans (hardest cans in can collectors speak) are on display and the jewel style cabinets provide the light for the cosy restaurant area.

The menus on offer reflect some of what we do at The Peasant with strong British flavors and an eye on the simple and affordable . This is a residential area and we would like the ‘locals’ to enjoy it.

The whole pub can be hired for events and we highly recommend booking Saturday and Sunday as lunches are getting very popular.

For reservations call: 020-72545865 and ask for Annie Graham or Patrick.

We have already seen some Peasants at the Londesborough! if you know what i mean, and we hope to see more!

Gregory and Patrick celebrate ten years of running the Peasant with a one off Special Ale

Gregory recently visited Brodies Brewery in London’s east end and hit on the idea of a special ale bottled for the Peasant as a celebration for running our Gastropub for ten years. Its a very smooth ale and we will have some five hundred bottles to sell in the Bar.

An introduction…

“Gin palace turned gastropub, the pleasant Peasant exudes a contemporary tone with its continental draught beers and posters of punk rock stars.” – Time Out Bars, Pubs & Clubs Guide 2008/9

We only have Heinz Ketchup at The Peasant! The Peasant is one of London’s best gastropubs. It is an old well-kept gin palace, lovingly cared for by Gregory and Patrick Wright. The bar features mosaic floors, and glazed tiled walls, whilst the restaurant upstairs features old circus memorabilia – making for a comfortable dining experience.

Come and check out our comfortable bar area (dog friendly!) as well as our luscious Al Fresco dining garden on the first floor.
